While you won't be eating cheesesteaks, you'll learn about their hidden history and discover multigenerational family businesses. Over the course of 2.5 hours, you'll walk a little less than 2 miles, making it a leisurely yet enriching experience. The final stop is the Italian Market, one of the longest continually operating outdoor markets in the United States. Here, you'll hear stories of local businesses, visit a fourth-generation Italian bakery, and a new-school Jewish appetizing store. You'll also have some time to shop in the market before ending the tour with a glass of wine from a limited-edition series made with support from one of the Italian Market's oldest businesses. The tour concludes at the Italian Market, leaving you in a central location perfect for further exploration of South Philadelphia.
